Original Title: Seguridad y efectividad de las máquinas de perfusión en los trasplantes de órganos sólidos.
Authors' objectives: The objective of this systematic review was to establish the effectiveness and safety of the MP, compared with static cold storage (SCS), in terms of mortality, graft functional parameters and graft survival.
Authors' results and conclusions: Data from the included studies suggest that kidneys MP did not show significant improvement in parameters studied except delayed graft function (level of evidence 1-). Limited evidence on transplantation of lungs preserved with the normothermic system indicated no significant improvements in effectiveness compared with patients receiving conventionally preserved lungs. These methods were safe in general.
