Authors' recommendations:
The evidence found is scarce and of low methodological quality. As regards cerebral palsy patients, no clinically significant improvement was observed in the different scales commonly used to rate gross motor function disorders. As regards patients with autism spectrum disorder, studies are still required to compare this treatment with other standard of care therapies in order to adequately assess its benefit. Healthcare sponsors surveyed do not cover this technology because they consider it experimental.
