Authors' objectives:
To assess if SuAVR used in Italy are effective and cost-effective compared to traditional sutured bioprostheses and TAVI.
Authors' recommendations:
Available data show that the efficacy and safety on short term outcomes between SuAVR and traditional valve implantation using sternothomy was substantially similar. However,vlarge randomised controlled trials with long term outcome assessment are needed.
