Authors' recommendations:
Complex regional pain syndrome is a painful condition that can occur in an arm or leg after a broken bone, operation or other injury. The cause of this condition is not understood, and there is currently no cure for complex regional pain syndrome.
AXS 02 is a new drug for complex regional pain syndrome in cases where there haven't been any injuries to the main nerves. This drug is taken as a tablet once every week.
Some studies have suggested that AXS 02 may be helpful for patients with complex regional pain syndrome and more studies are being conducted in order to show how well AXS 02 works and that is it safe for patients to use.
