Authors' recommendations: This report assessing endovascular and surgical treatment for native aortic coarctation or re-coarctation in adults shows that it is uncertain whether there is little or no difference regarding perioperative and long-term mortality, technical success rate and blood pressure at follow-up. It is uncertain whether there are more reinterventions and aortic wall complications and whether hospital stay is shorter after endovascular reconstruction. The quality of evidence was low for all studied outcomes (GRADE +000). Further studies with long-term follow-up after endovascular reconstruction are needed.
