Authors' objectives:
OncoBeam RAS CRC, developed by Sysmex Inostics, is a blood-based polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test for the detection of KRAS and NRAS gene mutations in patients with metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC). The test is intended to be used to help determine whether a patient would be suitable for treatment with anti-epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) therapy.
