Authors' objectives:
The ENROUTE transcarotid neuroprotection (NPS) and stent (TSS) systems have been developed by Silk Road Medical, Inc. to provide protection to the brain during carotid artery angioplasty and stenting for patients with carotid artery stenosis. The systems intend to protect the brain from debris displaced during these procedures, by reversing blood flow away from the brain.
