IMA-901 for locally advanced or metastatic renal cell carcinoma ─ first line

Authors' objectives:
Renal cell carcinoma is the most common form of kidney cancer. Many people with kidney cancer show no symptoms for many years. This means that it is often diagnosed late, after it has spread to other parts of the body, and cannot be cured by surgery, which is the most effective treatment for kidney cancer.
IMA-901 is a new vaccine for the treatment of renal cell carcinoma. It is delivered by injection under the skin.
If IMA-901 is licensed for use in the UK, it could be a new treatment option for patients with renal cell carcinoma which may improve survival.
