The Canadian Drug Expert Committee (CDEC) recommends that tiotropium bromide (Spiriva Respimat) be listed for the long-term once-daily maintenance bronchodilator treatment of airflow obstruction in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), including chronic bronchitis and/or emphysema, and for the reduction of exacerbations, if the following condition is met: List in a manner similar to Spiriva HandiHaler.
