Endovascular embolisation of intracranial aneurysms with Flow Diverter

Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Health Technology Assessment (LBI-HTA)
Record ID 32015000945
English
Authors' recommendations: There is moderate evidence for efficacy using the angiographic surrogate parameter aneurysm occlusion in a large percentage of treated aneurysms. The current evidence is, however, not sufficient to prove, that the assessed technology of endovascular embolization with flow diverters is more effective and safe with regards to clinical outcomes than no treatment, endovascular coiling or surgical clipping. The re-evaluation is recommended in 2017, provided that data from randomised controlled trials will be available at that time.
