Authors' recommendations: There is scarce low-quality methodological evidence showing that bone marrow transplantation from a haploidentical donor might be an alternative in case a 100% compatible donor can not be found, especially when the urgency of the case does not allow waiting for unrelated stem cell donors. The coverage policies and guidelines surveyed do not explicitly recommend or specify its potential uses.
