Authors' recommendations: Consequently, INESSS considers that the introduction of reablement as a complement to other home services already offered is relevant. The recommendation takes into account: conclusive data (though the level of quality is low to moderate) supporting the effectiveness of reablement; no documented disadvantage; the people consulted support the reablement philosophy, without prioritizing the introduction of this intervention in the services offered; and finally, it is likely to have no impact on financial resources. The implementation should be done under certain modalities and in stages, beginning with a demonstration project to regulate the intervention modalities. The objective of this project would not be to prove beyond any doubt the intervention's effectiveness. Finally, the project would not include an experimental round and would not allow for comparison with a control group.
