Ultrafiltration in heart failure: a rapid review

Authors' recommendations: Based on low quality evidence, there was a significant improvement in fluid removal and weight loss after 48 hours of treatment in patients with heart failure who received ultrafiltration compared to those who received diuretic therapy. However, the duration of effect was unclear. Based on very low quality evidence, there was no significant difference in the rate of adverse events in patients with heart failure who received ultrafiltration compared to those who received diuretic therapy.
