Authors' recommendations: On the basis of one SR comparing home-based rehabilitation to centre-based rehabilitation in community dwelling stroke patients, the following conclusions were reached: Low quality evidence indicates that community dwelling stroke patients receiving rehabilitation at a centre do not experience a clinically significant difference in functional independence compared to those receiving rehabilitation at home. No appropriate evidence was found reporting on the outcome of mortality.
