Computer-aided detection (CAD) with full-field digital mammography (FFDM) for breast cancer screening

Record ID 32015000323
English
Authors' objectives: Computer-aided detection (CAD) for breast cancer screening involves the use of computer-based algorithms to identify potentially malignant abnormalities in radiographic images, which may help to reduce mortality. The goals of using CAD are to minimize false-positives that lead to unnecessary diagnostic testing and to minimize false-negatives that put patients at risk when malignant lesions are missed or identified as benign.
