Authors' recommendations: Non-invasive procedures, like EVLT, RFA and ultrasound-guided foam sclerotherapy (UGFS), are not inferior to surgery in terms of clinical effectiveness with potential benefits in terms of time to return to normal activity, complications and cost-effectiveness. Little or no clinical effectiveness or safety differences between non-invasive procedures have been observed. Cost is more likely to determine cost-effectiveness between them.
