Mapa de análisis genéticos que se realizan en España en el marco del Sistema Nacional de Salud.
Authors' objectives:
The aim of this study was to know the procedures and genetic tests included in the genetic services from the different regional health services of NHS and provide a map of the situation in Spain.
Authors' recommendations:
Almost all Autonomous Regions include prenatal and postnatal genetic testing in their health services.
- The 16 Autonomous Regions provide basic techniques for cytogenetic studies.
- In inherited genetic diseases, hereditary cancer is the disorder included in more health services.
- In non-hereditary genetic diseases, oncohematologic testing are the most widely included in the regional health services.
- Pharmacogenetic and immunogenetic testings are not widespread.
