Bracing after knee arthroscopy: a rapid review

Authors' recommendations: Based on 1 systematic review comprising studies with serious risk of bias, there was no significant difference in functional status, pain, or complication rates among patients receiving a postoperative knee brace, in comparison with no knee brace, during the early rehabilitation stage after arthroscopic ACL reconstruction. No studies were identified that reported on return to activity or sport as an outcome measure. No studies were identified that evaluated the use of postoperative bracing after meniscal procedures.
