Ligament Augmentation and Reconstruction System (LARS) for ligament repairs of the knee

Record ID 32014001192
English
Authors' objectives: Ligament Augmentation and Reconstruction System (LARS) (LARS Company) ligaments are synthetic alternatives to autograft and allograft-based soft-tissue repair. In the knee, they are used for intra- and extra-articular reconstruction of ruptured anterior cruciate ligaments (ACLs), posterior cruciate ligaments (PCLs), and collateral ligaments. LARS devices augment the original ruptured ligament, providing a scaffold for fibroblastic in-growth and healing. Alternatively, they can augment an autologous ligament reconstruction.
