Authors' objectives:
Intravenous (IV) iron supplementation is used in patients with chronic heart failure and iron deficiency with or without anemia, to increase iron and hemoglobin levels. The goal of IV iron therapy is to improve quality of life, functional status, cardiac function, and exercise tolerance, while decreasing hospitalizations and mortality.
