Authors' recommendations: No studies were identified that examined the accuracy of ECGs for diagnosing ischemia as the precipitant to an acute HF event in a HF population. All 5 of the guidelines reviewed commented on the importance of using ECG in diagnosing the precipitants for an acute HF event.
