Record ID 32014000963
English
Authors' objectives:
Total hip arthroplasty (THA) is performed to relieve pain and restore mobility and function of a diseased or damaged hip and, thereby, to improve quality of life. Hard-on-hard bearings were developed to address the issues associated with conventional metal-on-polyethylene prosthesis failure associated with excessive wear particles and limited femoral head size options.
