Authors' objectives: Dynamic magnetic resonance imaging (dynamic MRI) is an imaging technique that permits concomitant visualization of all 3 compartments of the pelvic floor, allows direct visualization of the pelvic support muscles and organs, and assesses the functionality of the pelvic floor and pelvic organs during defecation. This technique is used in patients with moderate to severe symptoms or symptoms of multicompartment prolapse as part of the diagnostic workup for presurgical planning.
