Authors' recommendations: One study found that montelukast improved respiratory disturbances in children with mild to moderate obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). No published trials regarding the use of montelukast in adults with OSA were identified. No economic evaluations or evidence-based guidelines regarding the use of montelukast for the treatment of sleep apnea were identified.
