Original Title: Usage judicieux de 14 analyses biomédicales: outil pratique
Authors' recommendations: The report Usage judicieux de 14 analyses biomédicales was prepared by an OPTILAB expert committee examining the appropriateness of medical laboratory tests. It is a collection of recommendations for the judicious use of certain laboratory tests that are commonly ordered in clinical practice even though their inappropriateness for given indications has been widely reported in the scientific literature. The report aims to be a practical and user-friendly consultation tool for clinicians. It targets 14 biochemical and hematological tests. Other medical laboratory tests may be targeted in the future.
