Authors' recommendations: Limited evidence from studies with methodological issues suggests that ferumoxytol seems to have comparable efficacy and higher adverse events compared with other available IV iron preparations. No Canadian data on cost-effectiveness or evidence-based guidelines for the use of ferumoxytol were identified.
