Authors' recommendations: There appears to be uncertainty regarding the effectiveness of use of clopidogrel beyond one year. Results from the included studies were inconsistent and the majority of the studies were retrospective. In the evidence based guidelines there were no strong recommendations for use of clopidogrel beyond one year.
