Authors' recommendations: Botulinum toxin type A (Botox®) is recommended as an option for use within NHS Wales for the management of urinary incontinence in adult patients with neurogenic detrusor overactivity due to subcervical spinal cord injury (traumatic or non-traumatic) or multiple sclerosis, who are not adequately managed with anticholinergics; patients should be already catheterising or willing and able to catheterise if required.
