Salivary hormone testing for menopausal women
Record ID 32013000823
English
Authors' recommendations:
Salivary hormone testing (SHT) is used to measure levels of hormones, including estrogens, progestogens, androgens, and cortisol. Compared with hormone testing in blood, salivary hormone testing is noninvasive and saliva can be collected by patients at home. Salivary hormone testing is often recommended for women who receive hormone replacement therapy, especially women who receive compounded hormone preparations.
