Original Title:
흡입용 기관지확장제 및 스테로이드 사용 현황 및 비교효과 연구
Authors' recommendations:
The use of ICS is associated with a reduced risk of lung cancer but not of laryngeal cancer.
The use of ICS with LABA decreases the risk of hospital admission or ER visit for pneumonia, whereas the use of ICS alone may increase that risk.
ICS use increases the risk of TB in an intermediate-TB-burden country. Clinicians should be aware of the possibility of TB development among patients who are long-term high-dose ICS users.
