Authors' objectives:

The aim of these clinical practice guidelines is to summarise the current reported experience with the advanced breast biopsy instrumenation (ABBI) system. These guidelines are aimed specifically at health care professionals preparing to perform ABBI biopsies, rather than consumers. They are designed to help standardise the use of the procedure across Australasia, to facilitate assessment of this technique. It is hoped the guidelines may shorten the learning curve for new ABBI centres.
