Authors' objectives:

Assesses the use of IVIG in U.S. academic health centers and evaluates its appropriateness based on model guidelines derived from 12 participating UHC member institutions. Findings are based on a study performed in 1996 that includes data on 254 patients. Also documents FDA-approved indications for IVIG use, off-label use, adverse events, and provides recommendations for IVIG use.
