Authors' recomendations: Home monitoring for obstructive sleep apnoea (OSAS) seems to be effective based on the available evidence but several unanswered questions remain that will determine the role it plays in diagnosing sleep disorders. Further research is required. HealthPACT has requested that this summary be forwarded to the Medicare Benefits Branch and that no further action is warranted.
