Although an early stage, non-invasive diagnostic test for atherosclerosis and cardiovascular disease (CVD) may be useful in the management and prevention of these diseases, there is little evidence of clinical effectiveness in the studies summarised in the assessment. Therefore, HealthPACT has recommended that further assessment of this technology is no longer warranted.
