Authors' recommendations: A quick, accurate and non-invasive method for detecting lung cancer in high risk patients has the potential for benefits both in terms of cost effectiveness and health related outcomes. This technology is still in the developmental stage and lacks good quality evidence to support its effectiveness, despite new evidence supporting the use of breath tests in other applications. It is therefore recommended that this technology be archived.
