Neuronavigation for intracranial biopsy and intracranial surgery

Authors' recommendations: Computer-assisted stereotactic technology for cranial procedures, otherwise known as neuronavigation, combines preoperative imaging with navigational computer software to localize targets for neurosurgical procedures. This technology is designed to facilitate presurgical planning and to provide intraoperative guidance to the surgeon. Intraoperative imaging may also be performed to provide localization and anatomical updates.
