Record ID 32011001704
Swedish
Authors' objectives:

Is overall survival better, and is stroke incidence lower, in patients with symptomatic stenosis of the internal carotid artery if carotid endarterectomy (CEA) is performed urgently, i.e. within 48 hours, in comparison to later CEA?

Authors' recommendations: The scientific documentation of the potential beneficial effects of urgent carotid endarterectomy in patients with symptomatic stenosis of the internal carotid artery is insufficient.
