[Autism treatment with orthomolecular therapy]

Authors' objectives:

To assess the efficacy and safety of orthomolecular therapies in autism treatment.

Authors' recommendations: Included studies have important methodologic deficiencies that limit the validity of the results. Efficacy and safety of the assessed nutritional supplements are not proved. Rigorous double blinded randomized clinical trials are required in order to assess this kind of therapy.
