Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) incorporates the use of an ultrasound transducer at the tip of a flexible fiberoptic or video endoscope. When EUS is used in combination with fine needle aspiration (EUS-FNA) in pancreatic mass lesions, the main goal is to establish a diagnosis of malignancy.
