Authors' objectives:
In 1979, Dr. Kenzo Kase founded the Kinesio Taping Method (KTM). An elastic tape, Kinesio Tape, was developed to accompany the method. The Kinesio Taping techniques originate from the practice of kinesiology, the study of human and animal movement, performance, and function. Principles of kinesiology in human health include rehabilitation, such as physical and occupational therapy, as well as applications in the sports and exercise industry.
