Record ID 32011001328
English
Authors' recommendations: Nonbenzodiazepine hypnotics are pharmacotherapies that are used for the short-term treatment of chronic and/or severe insomnia. The goal of treatment with nonbenzodiazepine receptor agonists is to improve measures of sleep initiation (i.e., sleep onset latency) and/or sleep maintenance (i.e., awakening after sleep onset, total sleep duration) without significant impact on next-day functioning.
