Computer-Aided Detection (CADe) and Computer-Aided Diagnosis (CADx) for mammography

Record ID 32011001322
English
Authors' recommendations: Computer-aided detection (CADe) and diagnosis (CADx) describes the use of computer-based algorithms to identify potentially malignant abnormalities in radiographic images. CADe/CADx (CAD) has been developed primarily for mammography, where early detection and classification of abnormalities of the breast help to reduce mortality. The goal of using CAD is to minimize false-negatives, where malignant lesions are identified as benign, and also to minimize false-positives that lead to additional diagnostic work-up.
