Authors' recommendations: From the results of this literature search, there were no health technology assessments, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, guidelines, randomized controlled trials, controlled clinical trials, or observational studies identified pertaining to the use of subcutaneous lidocaine use in community care. Since no evidence on the use of subcutaneous lidocaine in community care was identified, no conclusions can be made regarding its use. This lack of evidence should be considered when deciding about the use of subcutaneous lidocaine.
