Authors' objectives:
The objective of this MAS report was to conduct a systematic review of the available published evidence on the safety, effectiveness and cost–effectiveness of internet-based device–assisted remote monitoring systems (RMS) for cardiac implanted electronic devices (CIEDS) such as pacemakers (PM), implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICD) and cardiac resynchronization (CRT) devices. The MAS evidence–based review was performed to support public financing decisions.
