Surgical dressing for patients undergoing hip or knee arthroplasty: clinical effectiveness and cost-effectiveness

Canadian Agency for Drugs and Technologies in Health
Record ID 32011000988
English
Authors' recommendations: A limited number of studies of surgical dressings in hip or knee arthroplasty were retrieved. Reviewed studies suggest better patient outcomes and fewer dressing changes among patients treated with hydrofibre compared with non-woven polyester bandages with acrylic adhesive, however these studies have some limitations. The relative cost-effectiveness of surgical dressings could not be assessed.
