Authors' recommendations:
Coblation surgery is a relatively new technique intending to reduce the usual complications related to tonsillectomy or adenotonsillectomy. Although proposed as a promising technique in terms of decrease in pain and hemorrhages, it seems to be similar to the existing ones. The studies found have poor methodological quality and a high rate of patient lost at follow up. The results they report result in huge uncertainty at the time of recommending its use.
