Psychosocial treatments for pediatric bipolar disorder are nonpharmacological interventions intended to reduce the symptoms and the negative impact of bipolar disorder on the child or adolescent and his/her family. Such interventions are based on family-focused therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychoeducation, or interpersonal and social rhythm therapy.
