Original Title: Diseminación de los productos de evaluación de tecnologías sanitarias. Nuevas líneas de trabajo
Authors' objectives: To analyse policies and initiatives for the diffusion of Spanish and international agencies' HTA products. To assess to what degree the recommendations made by the panel of documentation technicians and experts have been implemented in HTA-agency diffusion policies. To identify changes in strategies, and propose new lines of action designed to consolidate the area of interest.
Authors' recommendations: Few organisations publish formats that are purpose-adapted to audiences. The format of documents published as ARs limits their impact. The new diffusion channels provided by Web 2.0 are beginning to be used by HTA agencies, though more widespread use is envisaged due to the impact of these products and the user-friendliness of data in terms of access, location, visits, etc. A regular bulletin available via a website or e-mail is regarded as a useful diffusion system which enables end-users to learn directly about an organisation's latest news. Publishing in a country's native language may pose a barrier to dissemination, since English is the predominant language for scientific production in HTA.
