Authors' objectives:
To analyse the available scientific evidence available on the efficacy, safety and efficiency of miglustat in patients with a confirmed diagnosis of type 1 GD.
Authors' recommendations:
Miglustat was approved under exceptional conditions in patients who cannot or do not wish to receive ERT. This fact recognises that the data available at the time of approval. At present further studies are being conducted to complete the data.
