Authors' recommendations: Endoluminal treatment of thoracic aorta is a possible alternative; and it has promising outcomes for thoracic aorta pathology as opposed to the usual treatment with open surgery. The low quality of the scientific evidence available at the moment causes us to be cautious when spreading the use of the technique. Knowledge on the costs that are related to endovascular treatment needs to be improved. It is a technique in experimental phase. It is especially important to guarantee surgeons’ sufficient practical experience. The patient must get especially involved in decision-making on the treatment.
